Mitsubishi’s Evo 8 is one of the fastest saloons ever to leave Japan, and with certain models producing over 320bhp in standard trim they’re a perfect choice for tuners worldwide. In 2012 the Evo 8 is an absolute performance bargain, and the cheapest of them all is the 260 model. Despite producing ‘just’ 260bhp, this Evo still uses the same engine as those more powerful and with a select few modifications extra power can be easily achieved.
Japspeed’s cat-back exhaust system is the best way to extract more power from your Evo 8 260 without spending a fortune. With a 3in bore going all the way through to a 4.5 inch tailpipe, this exhaust will not only improve throttle response but also peak power by upto 10bhp! What’s more, the whole exhaust is constructed from mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel and TIG welded for strength and durability.
Mirror polished all the way through with the rear box exiting at a slight angle, this cat-back exhaust looks and sounds fantastic. As with all Japspeed products; gaskets and bolts are included for a perfect fit. However, depending on the rear bumper trim, a slightly longer rear rubber may be required.
The Japspeed cat-back exhaust system fits all Evo 8 260s between 2003-2005 and is available for just £299 incl. VAT.
