Subaru Impreza ‘Shark Eye’ Turbo Back Exhaust System

When Subaru first launched the ‘Shark Eye’ Impreza in 2008, it’s safe to say the hatchback configuration divided opinions from its die-hard enthusiasts. Regardless of its visual appearance, the MY08 Impreza still maintained a turbocharged flat-four engine complete with 6 speed 4WD transmission, and as such has made it equally as popular from a tuning perspective. What’s more, its new 2.5-litre engine means even more power can be extracted with basic modifications.

Japspeed’s turbo-back system is the perfect modification for increasing power and improving noise on your Impreza. This system removes the catalytic converter providing minimal restriction for exhaust gasses, and as such will not only improve throttle response but also see power gains up to 20BHP. This system has been designed as a direct replacement, and even features a twin-exit backbox to suit the standard bumper and OEM looks.

As with all of Japspeed’s exhausts, this turbo-back system is made from mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel complete with CNC machined flanges for a strong, solid support and accurate fit. Everything needed to fit the kit as well as gaskets and bolts are included, and we guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Due to the lack of a catalyser with this exhaust, Japspeed recommend this system for off-road/race use only as it will not pass MOT emissions. Priced at £399.99 and suitable for all 2008-2011 models.
